JFUN - Be What You Wanna Be
'Be What You Wanna Be' is the debut sonic journey that captures the moods and playfulness of JFUN. Each track has a life and feel of its own. Ranging from Breakbeat inspired, title track opener: Be What You Wanna Be. Track 2: 'Life's a Beach' packs a playful bounce that lands somewhere between House / Indie Dance. The final track 'Viola' has a Organic House / Deep House feel that tops this sonic journey off.
Be What You Wanna Be is the debut EP from JFUN and will give listeners an insight to the artist as he gears up for more releases to follow in 2022. This record features vocals from Tara Maruf and it was co-produced and mixed by Sam Harvey at Studio Big Blue. Album artwork and design was created by Christalla Buttle

From local to international artists, our community is always releasing amazing sounds for your ears! We release a new mix every month as part of our Music.Art.Ppl PRSNTS series and we also curate a podcast on the Chill Lover Radio network. When possible, we support visual artists by having them match one of their creations to cover. This allows us to feature as many creatives as we can and encourages collaboration between disciplines! Echoes Volume 2
What an epic event. The only ticketed Music.Art.Ppl event of the year went off with an incredible crowd welcoming a talented line up of artists and musicians. Headlining the show was the multi-talented Toronto DJ, producer and vocalist Amber Long who shared her incredible productions and live vocals. Amber helps run the internationally renowned music label Modern Agenda and her name is synonymous with progressive house. She has produced with countless musicians including D-Nox, Lonya, Waxman, Rick Pier O’Neil and many more. This was her first show in Ottawa and it was such a special one. Along with Amber we welcomed local duo André et Michèle who provided one of their unique live sets that set SAW ablaze. We’ve also had local legend Alain M on warm up duties. Joining them were the MAP resident DJ Pithra. RSPONSV was also be on hand creating stunning visual landscapes along with interactive projections. Finally, Echoes would not be complete without immersive decor and for that we had local artist Kim Valentine providing her special touch. We also had incredible visual artist Krystal Cox who created an incredible work of art.
